Arena One: Hospitality experts for arenas and stadiums, and for large events
Arena One is a hospitality expert working nationally and internationally in the fields of arenas and halls and of major events - especially in the sports segment. In 2004, Arena One was awarded the catering contract for Allianz Arena Munich. In 2006, the Munich-based company merged with Haberl Gastronomie GmbH & Co KG, which was founded in 1972 in the course of the Olympic games. With this, Arena One also became the exclusive catering and hospitality service provider in Olympiapark Munich.In the Allianz Arena, Arena One is responsible for public catering and provides food and beverage services in the Business areas. You will find up to 900 employees working here before, during and after a soccer game. On days where there are no games, the hospitality expert assumes the role of an event manager and takes over planning, consulting and providing care during events such as press conferences, business meetings, product presentations or fairs in the premises of the arena.
The Munich-based company continuously expanded its expertise in the sports segment during the past five years and provided services for the VIP areas of renowned events such as the BMW Tennis Open, UniCredit Ladies German Open and the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships, as well as the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup Finals in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Beyond that, the company was the partner of the German house at the Olympic Games in Peking and Vancouver and the VIP caterer for over 120,000 guests in three stadiums at the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.
Today, the expanding business with around 430 employees is among the leading event caterers in Germany. Arena One GmbH is directed by its two managers, Dr. Stephan Thewalt and Frank Wassermann.
